Fear-based culture, huge egos - Anonymous employee Shinola Employee Review

Shallow, fear-based culture. Preference is given to physically attractive employees. Upper management is downright mean, to the point of being abusive, and it starts with the company owner. People are insulted and belittled in front of other employees on a regular basis. Voices get raised if execs don't instantly get their way. Office employees are terrified of getting in the way of these outbursts and spend their days dodging bullets. The watch factory employees are treated like school children. Turnover is very high and morale is extremely low in the watch factory. To make things worse, they blatantly use factory employees in advertisements and the last I heard they weren't providing them any additional compensation.
