The head of my department prides self on cruelty to young staff. Wish I were making that up. I'm receiving zero mentorship. I have never felt such deep distrust for upper management at a work place. Despite being a place for research, the academic environment here is seriously lacking. If you aren't medical staff, do yourself a favor and work at a university. I will also say, during this time of covid and political unrest, I have been very disappointed in the (non) response from the hospital. I can't believe how these crises have been (not) handled. Shameful.
