Full of lies and misrepresentations during orientation - Registered Nurse Signature HealthCARE Employee Review

Application process requires prospective employees to disclose personal medical information and to sign an arbitration agreement.Terribly understaffed, very few hand sanitizer stations, many soap dispensers in patient's rooms were empty, patients were neglected due to bare minimum standards of care, no ancillary staff such as CMT's and unit secretaries. Nurses are responsible for 17 to up to 36 patients depending on the unit you worked on. That includes answering phones, doing admissions, taking off orders, walking rounds with doctors, making appointments, preparing patients for appointments, medication administration and treatments. The pharmacy company they use is very cheap and provides an extensive list of medications that must be substituted for generic or cheaper similar medications that the nurse is responsible for adjusting when a person is first admitted. One of the doctors that has patients there is very verbally abusive to the nursing staff and demands walking rounds no matter how busy a nurse is.Employees are forced to purchase scrubs and shoes from an online company of the facility's choosing. Employees are then inspected daily by an HR person for compliance. Said HR person will also walk around and ensure med carts are locked while ignoring obvious impossible nurse workloads. Members of administration conduct routine mock state inspections to assure facility "appearance" of compliance. Most recommendations are made by office personnel and administration with little to no nursing experience all to ensure facility passes state surveys. For example, treatment carts have all topical medications in ziplock bags without any kind of order. The Medication Administration records are all out of order as well. The facility smells damp and old. Plumbing issues in patient rooms and utility rooms are common. Patients complain constantly of poor food choices and lack of flavor. Family members and patients complain of neglect. But with one CNA for 36 at night and only 2 for 36 in the day, what else could be expected? I honestly don't know how they pass state inspections.
