Pros
Interesting experience while I was there being able to contribute to a variety of different improvement and development efforts. The first 10-15 years was great, although there was way too much time on the road.
Cons
Management does not care about salaried employees and has a tendency to have select favorites, regardless of experience, job knowledge and expertise. The systems groups has changed in the last 10 years to window dressing for the customers and whipping boys for when a plant has a major quality issue, which the majority of the time found its root cause in insufficient maintenance, refusal of upper corporate management to budget reinvestment, upgrade and maintenance of existing lines. The investors seem to come first over the success of the plants.
