Pros

- Consistently worked with incredibly smart, talented and down to earth staff across the board - We generally live up to our values; value entrepreneurial spirit and initiative - Good place to begin your career - Some of the leadership were great; kind, receptive to feedback, great mentors - Culture can be great, depending on your office/immediate team - WLB was generally great - no overtime most of time (for non-exempt staff) - Work can be challenging, engaging, fulfilling - 2 days in-person (for most staff/offices) was great

Cons

- Benefits generally subpar - Lack of transparency from leadership at critical times - Many company perks disappeared at the start of downturn (co-locating, world meeting, team/office events, office perks, etc) - Some leadership are frankly terrible and should not have been hired; they do not fit the culture - Salaries are generally lower than at competitors - Gutted entire US-based departments at start of downturn - CF specific: review process was barebones and lackluster compared to consultant reviews. A Partner who has no idea what your support role actually entails reviews your work. You'll get a stellar review with many accomplishments and very few improvements noted but receive "meets expectations." When you ask how you can get "exceeds" next time around you'll get "go above and beyond next time"... because they don't actually know. - CF: Bonuses are limited to 6-9% while consultants fresh out of school get massive bonuses. Other companies consistently offer 10-20% to their support staff, actual profit sharing, etc. - CF: Some support staff roles have zero growth opportunities; no title changes available to them as they progress in their role, but still get more responsibilities piled. Leads to exodus-like turnover every year. - CF: Some support roles receive zero structured, robust training so you better get someone decent to help you in your office or you'll be lost. You'll need to learn as you go.
