Pros

Great location if you like a smaller city and lots of nature. Campus is well-maintained. Many friendly staff and co-workers.

Cons

When I was employed there, it was a tough season for the university as a whole. I was really excited when hired on then it felt like I was running my own startup instead of being able to focus on my specific role. However, as I was transitioning out, a new department director was hired and I could tell they knew what they were doing and could guide and train well. A new CEO was also brought on as I was leaving so I hope things already changed for the better.

Beautiful campus in Northern CA with amazing, loving, talented faculty, staff and students.

Cons

Simpson continues to improve in spite of multiple setbacks (eg.Covid, state finance and cost). they are getting better every year with 13% growth as they continue to recruit people who are bought into the faith mission.

Very approachable, considerate staff & faculty

Cons

Underpaid. Worked just short of full time, which meant low pay and no benefits, as is the case with many adjuncts in the US sadly.
