Overall MemSQL is a false promise type of workplace, I'd avoid at all costs.
From the new Co-CEO, to shakeups in leadership which lead to regular individual contributors getting the ax, or choosing to bail for better more stable opportunities.
This place seems like a good idea at first , from the convincing tenured recruiter to the seamless interview process, but once you start, and work and understand the mechanics, regret of joining this place ensues.
- Poor company culture, fragmented and unexcited IT, HR and click-y teams.
- The company's missions/ values are all lies, you will get targeted if you question the CEO's ideas, though bad.
- The bureaucratic nightmare of trying to collaborate with other teams is everywhere. My own manager didn't support it.
- Management lies, they don't have your back. Many work for self-gain and steal your own work as if it's their own.
- Company is outsourcing more, moving jobs out the US, and seeking to undermine senior members of the company (from their skills and contributions) for cheaper labor.
-Core product is buggy, lots of issues and has a long way to go before can be taken seriously IMO.
