Pros

Cutting edge radio that nobody else in the radio business can do Great studios and great equipment to work with for the most part Great co-workers who work very hard and are very dedicated Good benefits compared to a lot of other places A great Christmas party every year

Cons

Low salaries compared to terrestrial stations and especially to TV jobs that are similar Long hours are required with no overtime paid Little recognition for producing great radio on a daily basis and little incentive to continue to do that other than to keep a job Middle and senior management seem more concerned with not making waves and keeping their jobs than working with the drones that do all the work

Pros

Great work place with fun people

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is that most people start as part-time employees. Given the current state of the radio industry, there isn't much room for raises or upward mobility. In many cases, the only way to advance is to wait for someone else to leave so that a full-time position becomes available.
