There is serious lack of investing in current talent. The repeated strategy is to bring in new talent and then not let them change anything – or the new talent just breaks the things that are actually working. It feels like a sinking ship and everyone has accepted misery. If you don't conform to the structure that already exists, you will fail. There are plenty of intelligent and creative people that were never used to their full advantage. People are extremely underpaid, yet given the jobs and responsibilities of at least three people.
