Pros

It's a step up, but will only get you so far. It's best to mingle and network as best as you can, and then use those connections to move on.

Cons

There is an issue at SiriusXM and it's deep misogyny. If you're a woman you'll find your options limited here, and your bosses mainly pandering to your face without doing any of the work to help you move along within the company or navigate the excessive political terrain. There is no cohesive vision for their Product and working for people who don't actually work on your app is a problem, so people working on Sirius XM product are answering to people who don't actually use it or care. Most of their initiatives around diversity and inclusion fall on deaf ears because the people don't actually have to attend the meetings and view it as optional. If you're a person who uses your voice then you'll find yourself in a corner.

Pros

Great work place with fun people

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is that most people start as part-time employees. Given the current state of the radio industry, there isn't much room for raises or upward mobility. In many cases, the only way to advance is to wait for someone else to leave so that a full-time position becomes available.
