Pros

Good work life balance. We have perpetual Summer Fridays - if you have a family or personal thing you need to take care of you're good to be off and on that day no questions asked (within reason of course) They are trying to do big changes to the overall tech stack, which is admirable for a corporation that's been around since the 90's, and has largely remained unchanged from a user perspective Opportunities to be fully remote If you're into music it's pretty great, most people are very passionate about that, if that's meaningful to you There are very talented people, and generally they are very low ego and happy to help

Cons

Getting more corporate since the acquisition of Pandora from a Pandora employee perspective, and not very ambitious leadership (though there are exceptions) Overall low morale about the company, and not much support from leadership except more meetings about how our morale is bad. "The beatings will continue until morale improves". I'm personally not a big status meeting guy. We have a LOT of status meetings Red tape to try new things, low autonomy - a 2000's waterfall "think of people as resources" type of place that says agile a lot to not feel bad

Pros

Great work place with fun people

Cons

One of the biggest challenges is that most people start as part-time employees. Given the current state of the radio industry, there isn't much room for raises or upward mobility. In many cases, the only way to advance is to wait for someone else to leave so that a full-time position becomes available.
