Cons
In a nutshell - too many hours of uncompensated work. For many years the unspoken company policy was hard work = big reward. The past several years that hard work has not been rewarded. I've been at Skanska a longtime, long enough to say that focus is no longer on the employees but rather the shareholders. Bonuses used to be a generous carrot on the stick. Now they are nothing more than fantasy. Any claims of work life balance are likely from employees that do not own a pair of work boots.
