The legacy software is so poorly designed and coded that it is amazing to me that it even functions most of the time. Most of the application code has not materially changed in over 15 years and the infrastructure was hacked together by amateurs with little concern for how to support and maintain it. It essentially feels like time stopped in 2005 and the software never evolved from there. The good news is that there seems to be a commitment from management and a plan to invest in modernizing everything over the next couple of years and the modernization of the applications is already in progress; though there is a long road to go.
Many long term employees from the hotel industry are so clueless they can't understand the problems inherent to the company and consequently have not been too happy with the changes that have been happening, which is evident in some of the their reviews on this page. As a result, many have left the company; which is the best thing that could have happened. If you are coming from another hospitality or hotel company, then you may not like working here either.
