The sensory installations themselves were well designed. My paychecks arrived on schedule.

The institute talks about diversity and inclusion in every possible venue, but the actual workplace reflected none of these values. I watched presentations about welcoming different backgrounds while seeing no changes in hiring, promotion, or decision makers at senior levels. Diversity was celebrated in marketing materials and all-hands meetings, yet the same people held power year after year. My suggestions about inclusive hiring practices were immediately shelved without discussion. Every employee of color I knew either left or stopped bringing up issues after months of silence from management. The company had created a system where speaking up resulted in being ignored rather than heard. I resigned when I realized nothing would ever change.
