I wholeheartedly agree with your advice to management that the truth will make us a better organization. We ask every employee who leaves Smartsheet for their feedback via an exit interview with the HR team. Feedback, whether from Glassdoor or our internal processes such as general employee feedback, 30-day and 90-day check ins, performance reviews, exit interviews, etc., is reviewed and analyzed by HR, and delivered immediately to the business leaders most closely aligned to it. We discuss it and address it as best we are able. The data I provided previously on our sales managers was for the whole of commercial sales. Our sales motions are broader than commercial sales, and certainly broader than the new account specialist (NAS) motion. Commercial sales (including NAS) is not limited to Bellevue, either, but is a growing and thriving presence in Boston, and now London. Regarding the timing of Glassdoor posts, we don’t control it. We also do not solicit reviews. We do know, however, that many employees elect to be alerted when a new Glassdoor post is made. My assumption is that there are employees who are positively engaged, and that they wish to express their opinion as well. As a member of the management team, I will take feedback of any type anytime. We learn from it all. Best, --Kara Hamilton, SVP People Operations
