Pros
Great colleagues who I've built life long friendships with, I gained extensive knowledge of so many different areas of acute and post-acute healthcare that I will definitely use for the rest of my career
Cons
The company values profits over people above all else, they expect you to work like a dog and bring in opportunities that they cannot even close (and to do this repeatedly) so overall your time is regularly wasted on false hopes that we will win the business (and the commission that would come with closing), they cut commission plans every year - so on average you're making $4-6k less per month than in previous years and on top of that salaries are so low that you can't even afford to live in your territory, they do not pay salaries based on where you live in the country - so the reps in the largest most expensive cities are making the same salary as those in the cheapest parts of the country, overall you basically are paying to work for the company. Most reps are on trend to make $70k less this year than last year, with expectations that it will only get worse. Most reps aren't even making monthly commission anymore, and even if you are exceeding target your commission is laughable. With the hours expected to be put in, and the very very low pay, you would likely make more money working retail or at a fast food restaurant. Not worth the extortion just to break into the industry. There are many other companies that take much better care of their employees.
