Pros
I would like to utilize this platform to inform my fellow HR group to be prepared before joining in this company. This company is good and in the phase of growth. But when it comes to HR Operations team, you must know below points before joining in the company. 1. Be prepared to work under a manager with no empathy (never listen to you then there is nothing to understand). You never get an opportunity to voice your opinions. You manager never listen to your issues/doubts at any point of time. To be open, you shouldn't even talk in front of your manger. 2. There will be too much of work of 4 group companies with 4 different processes. No KT will be given. But you are expected to work like a pro to finish all the work of 4 companies with in SLAs. 3. You manager will never ever answer your doubts even if it's basic. All measures will be taken to prove you are inefficient. 4. Poor employees will never understand these many HR processes which change every single day. Most of the mangers don't know how to approve leave in special cases except direct approval. But the company has so much else to do. 5. You will always listen the word " we have given strong communication" from a person who doesn't know "communication is not what you say as much as what the receiver absorbs". 6. If you take 10 minutes of break from your heavy load work for 10 minutes, then you will be called someone who breached all the employment agreements you signed on. 7. If you work long hours because of your dedication to complete assign bundle of tasks, you will called under performer who can't complete the tasks within time. BTW, even if you need/want to go after office hours, you must give n lot of reasons. 8. You will never get a day when you have completed everything before you go home (loads and loads of adhoc work). 9. If you stretch yourself so much to meet the over expectations of manager, you never get a single positive word from the manager. 10. By god's grace and your over stressed effort if you complete your work and the manager have nothing to do with your work, she will concentrate on your personal things like your lunch mates, your breaks, login time, with whom you are talking on the floor etc. (there is no end to this topic). 11. You will be asked to prepare so many unnecessary reports every single day which are of no use (means she never use this just increase your work load by asking you "prepare it's urgent now"). 12. You will be chased behind to work like a machine by the words "work fast", "you are too slow", "you are not up to the mark". You end up losing confidence until you know your predecessor and colleagues are/were also getting the same tags. 13. You can expect the statements like "don't think and do whatever I say", "you can't do the given work. Are you suggesting the new changes? (can't be able to explain the emotions on her face) 14. You are not allowed to talk to anybody even within HR department (to simply save your time and skin from the manager). In case if you do, you can be treated as someone who let out all the confidential information in your role. 15. You never get a chance to understand the logic or the process of work. Sometimes, you may feel like you are going as daily wage worker. Today, I took this courageous decision to write this feedback after leaving my job (BTW, I have chosen to come out before my self-respect dies), self-esteem, confidence during the period of my work within the team. I have heard same story from so many fellow members of the team.
