Pros

Job stability is the only pro.

Cons

Agency does not care about you as a person managing the workloads of 3 or more people. Every office is understaffed and overworked trying to meet quotas established by the agency. We are working with either out of date systems or systems that are not properly tested before being pushed out for employee use. Systems often do not seamlessly work with another so a task that should take 2 minutes can take 10 to complete. The public is a nightmare to work with. Every once in a while you'll get a genuinely nice person but most of the time people just want someone to yell at and blame for whatever is going in in their life.
