Pros

The goal of socure is to look like they have their stuff together. They dont. Almost all the C levels are a problem but none more than the tommy tallarico wanna be CEO. Two rounds of layoffs one in june 2022 one in january 2023. Two vegas trips for the entire company totaling millions of dollars each? one in 2022 one in 2023. So if you think your job is less important than a frat boy sales guy’s ability to get drunk in vegas then this is the place for you! CONSTANTLY CHANGING GOALS. Even if you bust your butt heck get offered another position at the company they will pull the rug out from under you. The remote work is nice and the salary is okay but it’s not worth the emotional damage. I am still in therapy trying to undo the damage 6 months of insane leadership did to me. One last warning… I thought socure would be okay… yeah sr leadership seemed a little unhinged but MY direct sr leader was kind and empathetic. They fired him and his like minded peers and put in yes men. If you are reading this and already work for socure and are thinking “my leader isn’t so bad” GOOD. run. run now while you have the chance. Run before you regret it.

Cons

Oh so many things Their HR department leaked my medical information to the entire company (great look for a security company) I was promised by leadership a specific role in November and then left with no information till mid January. Imagine planning and going through the holiday season with NO information, no idea what your salary is. New years with no idea what your role is. On top of that they had fired the guy whose job it was to write all the good reviews on glassdoor but clearly they hired someone else at likely half the salary ;) Good luck with that. They have been stripping benefits left right and center but not bothering to inform staff so I estimate the money will run out in 12-18 months. Hope you didn’t buy stock. The also completely ban all diversity and inclusion events, groups, or even slack channels except when a go wants to make a fantasy football team slack… that’s allowed but no pride no juneteenth no women’s groups no AAPI groups heck no D&D groups… no socializing. Just work.

Pros

One of the highest-performing companies I've ever worked for. There is a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and winning, with teams genuinely supporting one another to achieve shared goals. The company provides tremendous opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and you're surrounded by talented people who challenge you to continuously improve and succeed.

Cons

The same qualities that make this a great place to work may not be for everyone. Success here requires a high degree of ownership, initiative, and self-motivation. This is not an environment for passive contributors; you are expected to lead, solve problems, drive outcomes, and proactively navigate obstacles. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and there is a constant sense of urgency around execution and winning. While you have the resources and support of a larger organization, you're expected to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset and run your area of responsibility like it's your own business.
