Pros

Accounts across the country so there is opportunity to move locations Good pay/benefits for salaried managers When positions come available, they look internal first giving current employees opportunities to move up

Cons

Your experience at Sodexo is very dependent on who your district manager is. Some are great, others are not. There is not a lot of leadership training available so many managers just don't know how to do their jobs. You are expected to commit a lot of time to Sodexo before you will be given an opportunity to really get promoted. In order to "move up the ladder" you're required to bounce from account to account and will not make senior management until you've proven that you drank the Sodexo Kool-Aid. Many of the senior managers are only senior managers because they've been at Sodexo the longest.

Pros

The work experience and professional networking.

Cons

The operations manager, assistant general manager, general manager, catering managers are some of the most abusive people I’ve ever had the misfortune to work with. How they haven’t been sued for workplace harassment or for creating a hostile work environment is surprising.
