Pros

Being able to serve faculty and staff really gives you the chance to get to know people on a deeper level. So they become a person of worth instead of just a number or just a student. I also loved helping with food preparation. That was really fun.

Cons

There was a lot of unprofessionalism taking place there, and there was constant manual labor that was imposed on some, but not all. Slacking and discrimination on any case is unprofessional to me.

Sodexo Response

Hi there- Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. While it appears you're no longer with the company, I did want to respond with some info that may be helpful to current employees or candidates reading this. If there is ever suspected discrimination of any kind, there's an entire team (not just one) of HR people, as well as the Sodexo Office of Employment Rights, who can guide you. This should not be happening, and I'm sorry to hear about what you've described here.

Pros

The work experience and professional networking.

Cons

The operations manager, assistant general manager, general manager, catering managers are some of the most abusive people I’ve ever had the misfortune to work with. How they haven’t been sued for workplace harassment or for creating a hostile work environment is surprising.
