Pros
We're at the beginning stages of creating high impact and meaning of the data we're collecting from our oceans. The possibilities are endless and that is incredibly energizing. The people who work at this company work alongside and in collaboration with each other despite it being a highly complex business structure. The Sofarers are by far the best part of working here and that isn't just my opinion but something you hear echoed throughout. You're working on understanding the ocean alongside so many ocean-lovers - it's a special energy. There is no shortage of projects to contribute to and improvements to make. When Sofar says "grab an oar" they aren't kidding.
Cons
Because the business model is complex is takes consistent strong communication to make sure everyone is aligned on what they're working towards outside of just the OKRs. It is something that is important and can feel like a grind from time to time. Teams are small which can be a pro and can be a con depending on how you look at it. Assuming this will change with time and more funding.
