Pros

Fantastic coworkers, laid-back atmosphere, overall no micromanaging (depending on dept. I suppose), good long-term vision.

Cons

The atmosphere and people will make you stay—the pay will make you leave. If you’re a non-exempt (hourly) employee, don’t expect the perks that are listed on many of the job descriptions; they don’t apply to you. If you’re comfortable working 2 jobs, you might be able to make it work financially.

Such a bummer that you felt like you had to leave because of pay and benefits. The People team is actively leveling all jobs in the entire company and assessing compensation per market data. We're building a performance and merit review process so we can assess performance and reward merit to ensure we reward the high performing culture that we are. We are also about to roll out our new OneSonder Benefits and Perks including stock options for all, Sonder credits and free night stays for all and a new 401k plan for all US employees that will go live in April. We already contribute to our International employees pension funds. As you can imagine, building these programs from scratch takes time. Sounds like you enjoyed your time at Sonder outside of the pay and benefits which is awesome!

Cons

It's closed now. Unfortunately had to happen very abruptly,
