the hourly pay rate is absolutely horrible, especially when considering the benefits. as someone who has an insurance policy separate from Sonder, the benefit incentives are very small for the amount of labor, extreme variation in day to day tasks, and the amount of TLC bload-sweat-and-tears expected by the company. My rent alone is just under 50 percent of my take home pay. Some days I'm a manual laborer, others I'm in a warehouse doing inventory, receiving, and heavy lifting. Other days I'm styling and assisting photographers -- I would be thrilled to wear all these hats and do a much better job if I was making a fair wage.
