Pros

The perks and the people I met.

Cons

The company is really based on favoritism and people who do not have experience in certain roles get promoted because they are liked. I know two specific cases after being laid off. It is unethical and absolutely not right to do. Those that work hard do not get recognized and continue working a lot more then those who seem to have a lot of there plate but they do not. Also the briefs and meetings are great but when you have that much to write it makes me wonder how much work is being accomplished.

It’s great to hear you enjoyed our perks and the wonderful people here! It feels like we’re missing a bit of context on the favoritism you mentioned, but we’d welcome the opportunity to learn more from you. The layoffs that happened were unfortunately a tough reality our company had to face, like many other companies. With the changes to our teams due to those layoffs, there was restructuring that needed to happen in order to continue to support the needs of the business. Please reach out to peoplepartners@sonder.com if you’d like to share more of your thoughts regarding your experience during your time at Sonder.
