Pros
You will have the opportunity to work with highly intelligent, collaborative, and FUN colleagues! Most of them will make an everlasting impact one way or another if you choose to continue your professional career with the People team at Sonder. I would also say and agree there being many projects and opportunities where you will realize how much capability you have in yourself to create the change you can see happen in real time.
Cons
However, the politics that goes on in this company is what can potentially poison the culture and overall experience they are trying to create. I think senior leadership is enabling toxic leaders and personalities. If you can turn on your charm and have the appearance (more so BS your way) of being a high performer, you will be fine. If anything, you will thrive. These types of people will crush you if there is any form of incentive for them personally. It's disappointing to see Sonder having so much potential, and this could all come crumbling down, leading to the team falling apart because of this. The People team has the responsibility to execute a great work environment. From my understanding and experience, they are not delivering and meeting the standards they have set.
