Pros
Brand training, which is not handled by Sonic.
Cons
All commission-based: some months are great, some are terrible. They think that people are only motivated by money, so they keep it commission based. IF you manage to work the pay plan beyond what they deem is appropriate for the position, they will swiftly alter pay plans so that you, nor any of your peers, ever reach that number again. Long hours (some weeks up to 80). New tasks added monthly, with no increase in compensation nor training on how to do said tasks. Raises never come. I worked the same pay plan for 4 years, despite being promised an increase for the last 2 years. They're constantly revising pay plans down: devising ever-more devious ways of screwing employees out of their share of profits, which increase about 10-20% each year, while compensation remains stagnant. Few Holidays. At this point, I think Christmas and Thanksgiving are the only holidays true holidays off. All of the rest are "sales opportunity" holidays, which rarely result in cars sales or service. All managers are liars. They blame each other for their own lies. In the 5 years I worked for Sonic, only once did I see a manager do what they said they were going to do. Starts at the top with CEO, who allegedly strangled a woman. ZERO concern for employees working through Covid. Their only concerns were/are shareholder profits.
