Pros
The working atmosphere at Sonoco is unquestionably team oriented. Each of the five plant locations I have worked in have been filled with great people who have become more like family than coworkers. The company's emphasis on safety is a key component of that bond. I know each day I come to work that someone is looking out for my safety and I do the same for others.
Cons
The trend toward centralized decision making reduces the benefits of plant-level control where the most informed decision makers are found.
