Pros
You get to work at a world renowned studio, working on interesting projects with talented people.
Cons
Many Coordinator level positions become extremely inflated very quickly. Execs and managers will pass off responsibilities clearly meant to be handled at those levels to Coords., which could be great as a learning experience or if it’ll eventually lead to a legitimate promotion (especially if you’ve put in the time). But most often, the workload will increase and the higher-ups will cry poor (despite the billions brought in at the box office) when you try to bring up a promotion. But biggest con is the “diversity” initiative has quickly morphed into open and not-so-subtle discrimination against White men. Not uncommon for hiring managers to request and consider ONLY candidates who are “diverse” (aka non-White). Illegal and just morally wrong.
