Pros

Amazing corporate culture with competent and friendly co-workers. Cool parties all the time and we used to get unbeatable electronics discounts. Free movies every week, people-oriented bosses. Great place to build long-term relationships with fellow co-workers and bosses. Glamorous and exciting with possible celebrity sighting (at the very least you see Adam Sandler). Incredible gym with group fitness classes keeps employees happy and healthy. Maybe it is the industry and the location, but the employees are definitely the best looking bunch I've ever seen. Employees feel like part of the Sony family, communication is great from the Executives.

Cons

Too good of a place to be, limited advance opportunities as nobody wants to leave. Finance work gets routine with little or no potential to learn nor grow. The entire department (staff level) quits every couple of years and a new group is hired and then the cycle repeats. Perfect place for people that are not ambitious or trying to advance in their career. Overall great Managers but there was one unprofessional female Manager that was extremely critical to female employees (but very tolerant and kind to male employees) which brought stress and unnecessary drama to the workplace even with all the perks at Sony.

Pros

- began work with an amazing team and culture - exposure to major IP and high-profile campaigns - some genuinely talented and passionate colleagues - fast-paced environment that builds skills quickly - healthcare is decent - some fun on-lot perks

Cons

- poor work/life balance exceptions from SPTV lower and upper management - unmanageable workload left little room for the collaboration and meeting engagement leadership expected - upper management changes resulted in reactive restructuring with little regard for team culture or continuity - inconsistent management: some leaders failed to empower or advocate for their teams - clear office politics which interfere with business decisions - quick burnout when management fails to course-correct workload - leadership set workloads based on personal work style rather than sustainable team norms - little to no growth opportunities - 4 days in office is excessive and unnecessary
