Pros
Great training and support throughout. You basically sit at a computer with a headset and repeat the customers' words you hear verbatim into a voice to text software on your screen and edit any mistakes that may come up. I had the option to work from home when Covid happened and it was really laid back. They offer part time benefits and will automatically enroll you in a 401k (at least they did when I was there). This is a good job for introverts who don't want to face customers while still getting to help people. You get help hard of hearing people with important calls and help them stay more connected to loved ones.
Cons
On January 25, 2023 I was laid off without warning after almost 5 years of employment. That day I just received an email stating there was a reduction in workforce and no longer had a job. The company did this to 100s of employees in 3 different states. Be cautious working here, there is no job security. Other cons: can be mind-numbing sitting at a computer all day repeating conversation. You must pass test calls and maintain time adherence or you will get reprimanded, some managers and supervisors can be quite picky with the way you do things, but this really just depends on who you get, I had some really cool ones luckily. There is little opportunity for growth or promotions in the company and raises are practically non-existent. Not really a career, more of just a job.
