Pros
Company is in a good position to help the deaf community. Although it's doing everything in its power to destroy that at the moment Remote work is respected and functions pretty well Other software engineers, QA, and UI/UX coworkers are great to work with Deaf coworkers is a unique experience and are well supported
Cons
Dead-end for any software engineer past mid-level. You will have no ownership or autonomy. Technical decisions are not engineering-led so your job as an engineer is to patchwork and hack through whatever you've been given rather than solve any real technical issues, design better systems, or improve processes. Micromanagement is on the rise. Unethical leadership with office politics driving all interactions. All talk and no action, broken promises, and exclusively top-down (poor) decision-making. No company direction; projects constantly fail, initiatives and priorities constantly change, and everyone is left taking shots in the dark. Always on hiring freezes and frequent layoffs despite executives saying the company finances are "amazing and healthy" and buying other companies.
