Pros
I made some lasting friends here. Most of them have since left. We now have a group chat for Sourcebooks survivors and there are a LOT of us on it.
Cons
The CEO is verbally abusive, controlling to the point that she requires employees to write down and turn in a daily list of your activity while working from home, and has a history of horribly racist comments and behavior. Management does not manage or mentor employees because they are so focused on placating the CEO at all times. She is so capricious, hot-tempered, emotional, and ego-driven that my boss often told me at the last minute not to present projects in acquisitions meetings because it was a "bad day" for the CEO and it might "upset" her. It was impossible to get anything done with such a backwards leader. It's no wonder why it's not any author's dream to be published by Sourcebooks. It is my opinion that the 5-star reviews on here were written at the CEO's behest, so I felt I had to speak up.
