Pros

If you simply need to join the workforce without a lot of experience in sales and you have thick enough skin to get through, it's a paycheck and experience to take elsewhere. Sometimes there was food.

Cons

This is not a career for the long haul. I've heard of several employees being in the exact same role for years without a change in pay to reflect tenure. There is no 401k option, no tuition reimbursement, nothing beyond the initial couple of days combined PTO, vacation, and sick time, or any other benefits that are more or less standard in the industry. The company itself is very top heavy, and there is no point in aspiring for a promotion. It's a dressed up dead end job. The employees will not learn your name until you've been there for some time as the turnover has been significant. There are individuals that routinely speak to employees in condescending, rude, and sometimes spiteful ways. During my time there, this was common and it was encouraged to avoid those individuals rather than having the difficult discussion with the offender regarding appropriate, professional office etiquette. Employees privately advised each other of who they should or should not speak to publicly for concern regarding retaliation or falling out of favor. It goes well beyond forming friendships at lunchtime; there is a distinct fear of upsetting the wrong person in management at the right time. Walking through the door, you would ask yourself if certain people were already in a bad mood because that would set the tone for the entire day. The work itself is menial but there is such a demand for every activity to be the top priority that it is difficult to know what will rank higher on any given day: call metrics, quote numbers, order totals, or some miscellaneous factor that has been pushed into the tracking spotlight. Many jobs will change focus on KPIs, but not as easily as the wind blows. Get used to working long hours for which you aren't compensated, despite being docked for time you aren't in the building.

Pros

SCW has made major improvements in training this year. Also, connecting the teams and growing together. Last year was a bit rough to be fair, but changes have been made that have helped immensely. The group here are amazing and work well together.

Cons

It would be nice to have some 401k matching. Also, if the insurance costs could be less.

Pros

Constant room for growth, good commission structure, good insurance benefits.

Cons

Office culture is toxic to an almost unbearable degree due to idle gossip on the sales floor including from management and HR, a lack of communication from management on how to improve if you aren't equipped to figure that out yourself, and very little teamwork to be seen despite peddling a "family" mentality in official meetings. Rapidly increasing positional turnaround within the company leading to overworking in multiple departments.
