- Office environment was a bit uncomfortable. Temperature, noise levels, cubical space, plus more could have been improved.
- Managers were seemingly unqualified. I think the talent had left the building already by the time I started working there, and they decided to fill the void with favorites... painfully obvious most people in authority were not exactly qualified.
- Very immature culture. Playing ping-pong seem to come first and no one cared.
- Too much entry level talent as a whole. To glorify this issue, opportunities are offered to potential talent (not actual talent) which put the company at risk because of their lack of experience. Experienced staff ended up getting short-changed even though they are the ones who could actually fix all the problems and bring innovative solutions to the table. How unfortunate they are overlooked for advancement because the cost more? I couldn't figure it out... it was immensely disappointing to see the actual talent get routinely overlooked.
- There was a lot of juggling on the executive level. How many times a year can a re-org be done?
Big picture - never really got a sense of what this company was about. I knew it was tax software with services, but sales people didn't even know what Taxport looked like and customer service reps could barely even load a data file. When you look past the surface culture, if feels like something is fundamentally wrong in this company.
