Pros

-the spirit and pride that the employees have is incomparable to anywhere else. -when the going gets rough and deadlines are looming, it is always amazing at the way different teams will pull together to get things accomplished. -to be able to be apart of something that is so great and awesome, is fantastic. we are making history and i'm excited to be a part of that, and actually feel like i'm personally making a difference. -100% paid insurance is fantastic. and its good coverage too. -there is also some amazing talent as well as diversity here. -

Cons

-pay could be better for the skill levels we are expected to have and the seemingly impossible goals we have. -ego. we have a lot of it. Of course that would be expected when you have a lot of confident, talented people working together. -work/home life could be more encouraged. we all tend to get caught up and excited about what we do. (not a bad thing), but sometimes we need someone to step back and make us take time for ourselves/families. -with high rewards comes high stress levels. This job is not for the faint of heart. if you get offended easily, don't take criticism well, or are not passionate about what you do. this is not for you.

Pros

* **Unmatched Mission & Impact:** You are literally working on rockets and spacecraft. The cool factor is 10/10. * **Brilliant Coworkers:** You will be surrounded by some of the smartest, most driven engineers in the world. * **Insane Career Growth:** SpaceX on your resume is a golden ticket. You will learn more here in 3 months than in 3 years at a normal company. * **Hands-on Experience:** They actually trust interns with real, critical hardware. No boring coffee-fetching tasks.

Cons

**Cons:** * **Zero Work-Life Balance:** 70-80 hours a week is the norm, not the exception. Say goodbye to your social life and sleep. * **Extreme Burnout:** The "hustle culture" is toxic. You are expected to treat the company as your entire life. * **Mediocre Pay:** The hourly pay is average, especially when you factor in the insane hours and the high cost of living in LA/Hawthorne. * **Chaotic Management:** Decisions can change overnight based on whatever Elon Musk tweets or feels like doing that morning.
