Pros

I have had the fortune of working here at SpaceX for close to a year now. From the moment I stepped onto the production floor, I was sold. I felt the energy and excitement similar to watching the first F9 rocket land. Wall to wall all you see is different parts of the rocket being built and moved from one section to the next. One of the greatest benefits aside from all the free coffee, yogurt, soda and amazing food, is how accessible your leadership is. I am able to meet with my team lead often and be set up for success in every way. I am able to constantly learn and be challenged in ways I have never before been in my career. The work environment is amazing, we are inspired shoot for the stars and looking to land on Mars! Overall you are encouraged to work hard, learn a lot, and grow as a person and employee.

Cons

The work life balance at times can be difficult to juggle, but that is only during high volume seasons.

Pros

* **Unmatched Mission & Impact:** You are literally working on rockets and spacecraft. The cool factor is 10/10. * **Brilliant Coworkers:** You will be surrounded by some of the smartest, most driven engineers in the world. * **Insane Career Growth:** SpaceX on your resume is a golden ticket. You will learn more here in 3 months than in 3 years at a normal company. * **Hands-on Experience:** They actually trust interns with real, critical hardware. No boring coffee-fetching tasks.

Cons

**Cons:** * **Zero Work-Life Balance:** 70-80 hours a week is the norm, not the exception. Say goodbye to your social life and sleep. * **Extreme Burnout:** The "hustle culture" is toxic. You are expected to treat the company as your entire life. * **Mediocre Pay:** The hourly pay is average, especially when you factor in the insane hours and the high cost of living in LA/Hawthorne. * **Chaotic Management:** Decisions can change overnight based on whatever Elon Musk tweets or feels like doing that morning.
