Pros
- Incredible culture and some of the most incredible people I've ever worked with! - Benefits are second to none (but in danger of becoming less so) - Very interesting and fun problem space - Passion for the products being made, and a true talent for bringing real robotic connected play experiences into people's homes.
Cons
- After a recent organizational restructure, there are absolutely no career paths available to employees outside of ousting their own boss. - Senior Management and C-Level staff are beginning to chase the dollar and care less about quality delivery and product - Too much attention paid to the bottom line, and too little attention paid to the overall engineering quality behind the products. - No real understanding of how to plan ahead for product development, and absolutely no attention paid to software development process and timeline. - Long hours spent by teams that are behind schedule are given more appreciation, than the teams that are organized, think ahead, and innovate to make the timeline more achievable - Deliverables and products are judged on their revenue potential rather than their quality or longevity to end-users - User retention is never a priority... as long as the money is spent on the "shiny new product", the executives are happy. - Executive management is focused on acquisition, but seemingly has no interest in developing IP or technology in which potential buyers would be interested
