Spiceworks Ziff Davis Response
9yThanks for the feedback. I'm glad you've highlighted the importance of culture both internally and externally. We've put great focus there over the years.
It looks like you were at Spiceworks for less than a year which would mean your only experience was during 2016. That was certainly a tough transition year for us and we're excited to have moved on to 2017 and to have our momentum back!
All companies must evolve and "change directions" or they will no longer be relevant at some point. Learning to "change directions" is also important to build as a core skill of a company that will be around for the long-term.
As we've evolved to be relevant in an increasingly complex and cloud-based IT world we've not wavered from our "North Star": helping the IT pro do their job every day. How we help them is changing but who we're helping hasn't. Sometimes folks get a bit stuck in their belief that that 'how' must remain the same forever.
Regarding following money, yes, it is important to ANY business. We've likewise had to evolve our ad technology, our sales team, and sales approach to respond to evolutions in the advertising industry. I'm proud of how the team has evolved and help us build a foundation for growth in the future.
