Pros

- Splash has an amazing culture. You actually enjoy working with the people and appreciate the hard conversations because everyone comes at them with respect and good intent!! - Splash has spent the last couple years getting rid of the toxic bad players and you can tell it is important to the leadership team to retain those with competent skills and reward high impact work. - The work itself is interesting but you have to be invested in fintech specificially the consumer lending space. Its niche which makes the work you do focused but its not for everyone. - The leadership team is one of the most enjoyable I've seen. They're all super smart but still are approachable and open. Could be a product of being a smaller company but its nice to not have a leadership team full of ego maniacs. - People care about you as a person and take the time to honor and respect boundaries, home needs, etc. There is a lot of work to be done and we move fast but there is a lot of autonomy and flexibility here.

Cons

- Splash hosts a companywide offsite annually and it's always the best time seeing everyone inperson. I only wish it happened more often even though I enjoy working remotely, there is a desire to have more inperson time and meet-ups. - Sometimes the pace of changes is chaotic and requires high adaptability and flexibility to change, but that's pretty common if you're joining a startup. - Benefits could also use sprucing up. Especially 401k and maybe a wellness or work from home stipend.

Pros

I've had a great experience working at Splash. The company is majority remote and trusts employees to manage their work without excessive oversight. Leadership is approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in the success of both the business and its employees. The mission is meaningful, the people are collaborative, and there are plenty of opportunities to contribute beyond your immediate role. The flexibility and work-life balance are among the best I've experienced.

Cons

Like any growing company, priorities can change quickly and teams need to be comfortable adapting. Processes are continually evolving, which can sometimes create ambiguity or require employees to help build structure as the company scales. If you're looking for a highly structured environment where every process is already established, this may not be the right fit.
