Pros

Great product, is a very powerful platform that is great for structured or unstructured data. Security, ITSI, app/dev lifecycle & monitoring. Customers love the products capabilities but justification is challenging.

Cons

Trying to grow too fast. Oversubscribed sales organization where less then 40% of the account managers make their annual targets, yet 50%+ of management over achieves, too many Mngt changes. PTC culture that is quarterly focused, VP's instruct DM's to take over client negotiations, ruthless culture of haves & have nots. High attrition rates for a company under 1 Billion.

Pros

Great company with a postivie non-toxic winning culture You can make a LOT of money here and you get great exposure across the greater Cisco org

Cons

For this role spacifically, commission is capped so that's a bit of a bummer but the good thing is there are always Spiffs to go over the cap

Great compensation and time off. No micromanagement. Great product that's known for its strength and solid brand

Cons

Lack of definitive direction with Cisco and old and outdated game plan. Competitors have caught up and sometimes surpassed Splunk leaving Splunkers looking for a new strategy; very small territories, incompetent hires in some management roles
