It's okay but not great - Software Engineer Spok Employee Review

We strive to create a collaborative, transparent, and rewarding work environment at Spok and we’re sorry to hear about some of your experiences. We will consider your feedback and we’ll continue to find ways to improve in areas where we may be lacking. Our customers have validated their needs for call center, alarm management, mass notification, and other software solutions; and thus, have validated our vision for Spok Care Connect, the software platform that integrates communications for healthcare providers. To facilitate our innovation and expand our business to meet the needs of the market, we have invested in our strategy and development talent and doubled the size of those teams. We are committed to our strategy and believe we have the right leadership and team members to take us into an exciting future. With growth like we’re experiencing, there are often challenges that bring opportunity for improvement. For example, you mention training and shared that the HR training was satisfactory; improvement to the HR training process came from feedback gathered from new hires and we can now our surveys tell us we have a successful HR onboarding process. As we have invested in Spok Care Connect, we have brought in new leadership, who bring deep experience in healthcare IT and already introduced training, new methods and tools designed to support the success of the entire team. I can assure you, we do care about our employees and strive to create a very inclusive, warm and friendly environment. Sometimes, as you grow quickly, it’s difficult to create those relationships of trust and connectedness quickly.
