Pros

The girls I work with, good work schedule this location only I'm sure. Relaxed comfortable uniforms tennis shoes. Store hours at this location are good. Only good if you're right out of school I need to learn how to do haircuts a good place to start but you don't want to stay

Cons

Stylist do not make any money here only managers 9.00 an hour no matter if you're straight out of school or been doing hair for over 20 years everybody gets paid the same. No raises and it's hard to make goals it's even worse if you're a fast stylist you're making the shop over $40 an hour and you're getting paid 9.00. And tips are only good if you're young and good-looking because it's mostly men that you do. And they want you to upsell their shampoo treatment and most men don't want older women shampooing their hair. No individual ality here everybody talks the same to each customer there's no creativity very boring repetitive. Like I said factory. And they don't like to give you more than 30 hours a week so good luck trying to have your own place to live.

Pros

Health Insurance and 401k definitely help. A lot of hairdressers are moms and some of them single moms, so these benefits help a lot! My team leader and area manager are amazing at helping and keeping me feeling good about how I'm doing.

Cons

none, I have to say, if you're willing to work and make something of yourself and want to work for a great company that will recognize that. This is the place to be!

Pros

No pros beside it being a paycheck

Cons

Wasn’t allowed to have colored hair as a stylist, franchise owners in Arizona push their conservative beliefs on employees, didn’t even allow facial piercings, as time goes by and I’m working at an amazing salon and being treated for what I’m worth, being valued and paid an actual living wage, being allowed to express my individuality, being able to finally find somewhere where I’ve been able to blossom in my 8 years of hairdressing, I’m realizing just how awfully sport clips treats their employees, absolute joke of a wage for the productivity, work, and hours they expect, started here fresh out of beauty school and was constantly undermined, a lot of workplace bullying, favoritism, outcasting stylists that didn’t fit the perfect Sportclips “ideal.” Unless you want to be a slave to Sportclips, and constantly told cut faster cut faster sell more sell more and creating an uncomfortable experience for the stylist and client, making it feel like a sales job, it’s such an outdated way to operate, to hit numbers for the commission you’d have to sell like a car seller and do 10-15 minute haircuts for hours on end. don’t work here. Not to mention the average tip clients leave is 5-7 while you get a minimum wage hourly. Just a spit in the face.
