Pros
Low paying wages arrived in bank account on payday.
Cons
Management is incompetent with examples to prove it. Three different managers lied to me on three separate occasions about three unrelated matters. For example, I applied and interviewed as an internal candidate for a position and was told by the department manager that I would be getting the position only to find out from HR that I would not be getting the position and that most of the jobs they post are not actually being actively filled. Rather, what Spreetail does is post great looking jobs hoping external candidates will apply for them and then Spreetail tells the candidate that they just filled the position, but encourages the candidate to take an entry-level customer support position by leading the candidate on to think they will someday get the job they actually want. Spreetail struggles so much with turnover in customer support that they have resorted to dishonest and shameful tactics to fill those roles. This is a billion-dollar company but the overwhelming majority of employees do not receive any benefits whatsoever and are barely paid above minimum wage. Spreetail claims to make decisions based of data, so they conduct employee surveys to gauge employee experience, feedback and preferences. However, Spreetail "culture" is what management wants it to be, and management does not actually listen or care about what employees voice. For instance, employees overwhelmingly voted to continue working from home, but Spreetail management nixed that cultural preference and required employees to return to the office. Spreetail claims, "Our culture is based on opportunity, openness, relationship building, and hard work," but as shown Spreetail management creates a deceitful, rigid culture on their own and does not consider the value or voice of the employees who are tasked with enacting, engaging and living that culture. Like the title of this review states, "You Can Do Better," because you cannot do much worse than working for Spreetail.
