Cons
Beyond toxic work environment, after almost 6 years in the company, I have gone home from almost every shift feeling terrible. Across stores this is due to poor and simply mean management (I've had a manager curse at me for being slightly out of dress code), inconsistency in our products because technically we are not supposed to blend drinks that are not frappucinos but some stores with inexperienced partners will say yes when they should have said no and than the customer expects it every time. Even more so, there are standards such as not blending items that are not frappucinos or putting them into trenta cups that are bent to the customers will simply because we cannot say no and although this may seems small, little annoyances like these get in the way of the quick drive times that corporate expects of us. Moreover, these drinks probably would not get in the way of drive times if the stores or adequate staffed for ALL DAY PARTS, not just peak. Starbucks is trying to go more into the night market but this seems impossible with the staffing scheduled at closing. How are stores that have a steady night market fully of frappucinos supposed to clean up after peak and also complete the nightly closing tasks? Speaking of peak, Shifts who work peak believe they are above other shifts and create a toxic environment for the entire store. I have worked at 6 different starbucks in 3 different states and the same problems are prevalent in all of these stores.
