Pros
I worked at Starbucks for years as a barista, coffee master, and trainer. Some locations I worked at (cafe only) had amazing environments and an overall positive experience.
Cons
Drive-thru locations are rigid and treat their baristas like machines. They care less and less about their well-being and more and more about the bottom line. Numbers, times, cash flow, etc. Management in my area doesn't listen to baristas, they treat the position like a revolving door. They'll find a way to fire you if you give them any reason to doubt your performance. They don't work with you or even comply with their own policies around disability and equality. Starbucks, as a whole, is such a hypocritical company. There are good stores and store managers out there, I'm sure, but they're closing cafe-only stores left and right. Anticipate being a fast-food worker, not a barista, because that's exactly where this company is heading.
