Pros
The people you personally work with will often be pretty great, and better than the ones you only interact with remotely.
Cons
Consistent failure to implement simple fixes that would save hundreds of work hours across the company if it relies on anyone higher up. Constant implementation of band-aid solutions that over-complicate issues and do not last long, followed by band-aids for the band-aids when they break ad-infinitum. You will be underpaid. By a lot. Company doesn't seem to value workers and you will have to fight your heart out to even be considered for a raise that will bring you to the industry standard level of pay. Talk to other employees to make sure none of you are being cheated. Tendency to shift goalposts when you are promised a raise. It will be pushed back several times before you get it, if you get it at all. They do not understand work-life boundaries. You will get emails, questions, requests for you to do work for them when not there. I've known others that have been targeted aggressively for not answering their phones and helping with a problem when they were off the clock and they've been spammed with angry texts for being busy and unable to respond. Blame shifting is an serious issue. You will have fingers pointed at you a lot so you must be prepared to defend yourself. Be warned though, if you don't just take it, and the person shifting blame to you is someone who you need to interact with to get your job done, you may have to find ways to work around that person ignoring you. Things are not tested or thought through before being implemented, and very rarely will it not just add more work without bringing a benefit.
