Pros
Stability--well, it used to be...Working for a mutual company used to be viewed as synonymous with stability, but with employees across the country being forced into regional Hubs, employee benefit changes that hurt even the most tenured, and an ever increasing focus on numbers--the outlook is not good.
Cons
The company's salaries have never been its forte, but people used to put up with it for the sake of stability and a manageable work-life balance. Ever since leadership at the highest levels has regrouped, the company feels like it needs to please "investors." there's a tremendous amount of effort on cutting expenses, but at the sake of hurting the bottom line by asking for higher performance without higher pay--not even to keep up with the cost of living--much less the competition.
