Pros

The only pro to this position was what I learned about processing claims. Management is not great at all. Benefits.

Cons

Micromanagement. Managers will throw you under the bus to cover their own tracks even if they gave you the instructions. Do not expect your manager to have your back and take accountability for their own actions. They are not about their employees at all Their point system is a joke. You can be right by the job and end up getting points even if you leave 2 hours before work to get to work on time and there is an accident off the exit, you can forget them being lenient. This place is not professional although they try to say that it is not a call center and it is. Nothing professional about the location other than the office setting. I was highly disappointed because my expectations were so much higher for this company. I do not expect them to keep excelling if they do not start listening to their internal customers and putting them first. If you want your external customers happy and retain them one of the things most call centers miss is not treating the internal customers right. When internal customers are treated right then it carries over to how they treat the external customers.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
