Pros

My first 6 months was amazing. I’ve been with the company since 2018. It is easy to excel most departments are relatively easy as long as you keep up with the pace. Pro -benefits -Beautiful faculty -Entry level positions have a great work life balance. If it wasn't for the benefits being so amazing I would have never remained with the company after the first 6 months.

Cons

Cons -Miscommunication When applying to new position we are often given incorrect vital details that help with accepting the position. The management claims they had no idea of the updates only for us to find out time and time again the updates are 6 months to 1 year old. The miscommunication often includes training structure, hours of operation, and pay increase. -Work Ethic Work ethic does not matter. It doesn’t matter how hard you work. State farm evaluates us by how much our manager likes us. That determines our raise, bonus, and promotional opportunities. -Metrics Metrics mean nothing. You can have the highest metrics and never be offered a promotion or any opportunities. -Abusive The environment is extremely abusive. In Retention 1 previously called the customer care center we had support groups to help one another cope with mental health after calls and regarding pay. We expect customer to be upset if there is an issue but Agents would call in just to verbally abuse us, call us names, and explain their racial superiority. Many of us applied to SFPP thinking with a higher position we wouldn't be verbally berated and belittled any more by agent and agent staff members. My training graduation class dropped from 40 to 12 after up to 1 year of abuse. Agents complain about us being back up but the abuse is why we are so short staffed. We get calls requesting things knowingly out of our scope and threats to make it happen or we will be reported to our manager(from agent and agent staff). No one cares that the request os out of scope or something solely the agents can do it still goes in our file. We are harassed and verbally abused daily and often times relentlessly. When reported nothing is done to hold them accountable making them feel more entitled to treat us badly. The abuse is so bad many of us have mental breakdown, heart attacks, and more at work causing us to be force on leave or quit (due to how it affects our physical health). -Pay Homelessness while working for corporate is ridiculous. When I worked entry level only those that were married, in a relationship, or working 2-3 jobs had enough income to qualify for housing in a 40 mile radius from the job. More than 90% of my team was homeless. Whether they couch hopped, stayed in room and board, or crashed with family. The pay does not match the living requirements or 3 times the rent anywhere. Working while homeless is stressful because you cant come to work and work you have to try to figure out life. Due to the miscommunication many lost their 2-3 job leading to the homelessness. -Resources Our scope updates daily but resources have not updated since 2017 efficiently creating gaps. So we are force to create our own resources or memorize everything. -Bullying I’ve witnessed manager be friends with those bullying and antagonizing others and punish the victim for being bullied in the workplace.

Pros

(At the time) Fair pay and predictable bonus structure They were pretty good at covering travel expenses and paying them back quickly Diverse workforce & diversity initiatives Fun and funny coworkers Opportunities for growth Again, this was all four years ago and has likely changed

Cons

(At the time and now, according to other comments) Arrogant to a fault Total lack of innovation & willingness to innovate Odd attachment to the company's past (which prevents progress) High number of veterans (20+ years) who are determined to get that retirement money, and therefore, are resistant to change and technology Heavy reliance on command and control management style Poor decision-making that leads to losses of all kinds
